Soup, Soup and more soup

Even though spring is breaking out all over our neighborhood it is still a little cool. My husband asked for soup today. I made the Weight Watchers 0 points soup first and it was really yummy. Then to surprise my Hannah who loves mushrooms I decided to get the ingredients for Chicken and Wild Rice Soup which includes a lot of mushrooms. This was really yummy. I want to remember this recipe so I am including a link for you to try it and keeping a record of it on my blog. The most pricey ingredient was the butternut squash which I do not cook very often. All of the kids remember it from being at Mawmaw's house. This would be a wonderful soup to make after Thanksgiving using the leftover turkey instead of the chicken. Both soups were really wonderful and the kids and adults really liked them. I have been making a new kind of corn bread lately too which they all like. I use fresh ground cornmeal and it is not as coarse as the cornmeal I grew up with.
Check out the recipe and let me know if you try it. I'm including a couple of pictures of our soup. I hope you like it as much as we do.
