Camping At Denny Creek
This past weekend our family went camping with the youth group families from church. We camped at the Denny Creek campground. The whole group enjoyed one hike together. This group ranged in age 5-55. Part of the group stopped to play on a natural water slide as you can see in the pictures. This was a perfect day with the sun shining and water play. We ate our lunch while a few more adventurous ones traveled up the trail to the scene of the ice cave collapse a few of weeks ago. One thing you cannot see (and it is a blessing) are all of the worn out seats of pants that were a result of all that sliding on rocks:)
After a wonderful afternoon we headed back down the trail and fixed supper for a hungry and tired group. The three moms sneaked off for an evening hike to the Franklin Falls (with the blessing of the men folk of course) while the rest cleaned up and got ready for singing around the camp fire. On Sunday morning we ate breakfast and packed the tents up. Then the young and old men led us in worship. We roasted hot dogs and ate our lunch and headed back to the church building.
