Vashon Island, Cascadia Marine Trail, and Redding Beach

We have had a great last 10 days around here. Having the older boys here was a real treat. A couple of days ago we visited Vashon Island and played on the beach we used to take the older boys to when they were little. They erected large drifted logs-a flashback to Ryan's time with us. There were some interesting sea creatures to look at and touch and get hurt with. It was a beautiful day and not too hot even though it was sunny. When we left the lighthouse park we went to play at Lisabuella Park which is a camping site for those who travel on the Cascadia Marine Trail. Then we searched out Redding Beach Road. We were unimpressed with the beach even though the name was great! The kids had a great time with their new club "The Shed Syndicate" which enriches the world by pulling staples out of telephone poles and stop sign poles. They got quite a bit of attention when they were doing this. We made our usual stop at Zoomies for ice cream and we know Pawpaw and Mawmaw would love this ice cream! We stopped at the original site of Seattle's Best Coffee. We saw a coffee plant too! We saw some great views of Mt.Rainier and had a wonderful day! We got back in time for Wednesday evening services at Lakeview.

Looks like you had a fun and busy time with the boys! I am glad that we got to see them while they were here.
